As promised, Romain has had a dinner prepared for them, ensuring that the townhouse is free of curious grandchildren or other visitors. The spread is not lavish by the duke's standards, though certainly rich fare compared to what is on offer in the Gallows. The coffee and tea shortage seems to have reached even Hightown, or Romain isn't willing to pull enough strings to circumvent it, but there is proper dessert and spiced wine on offer.
He's cordial, a hair on the warm side of neutral, but he lets Thranduil come to the point in his own way and his own time. Romain is not a man that often gives the impression of being in any way rushed.
